HI! I'M Jennifer !
I can't wait to meet you soon! Let me tell you a little about myself.
I am a Texas Native and proud to live in Parker County. I have a Bachelor degree in Elementary Education and am certified to teach Preschool through eighth grade. I taught kindergarten for four years in the Weatherford school district, and I've also taught first, second, and fifth grades. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy reading, outdoor concerts, watching my chickens play, and gardening.
It has always been a dream to start my own preschool, and I am so glad I did! My favorite part of teaching is seeing my students' eyes light up when they grasp a new concept. It's so magical! I truly feel that teaching is my calling in life, and I can't wait to teach your little one. I can't wait to meet you!

Our preschool classes help your child to make friends, get socialized, and be more than ready for Kindergarten. We focus on a "whole child" philosophy and help develop your child's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills through PLAY.
(Little do they know they are actually learning really important Kindergarten readiness skills WHILE they play - shhh! don't tell them!) We can’t wait for your child to join our preschool class!

15 min. – Welcome, Table Time
We are so excited for everyone to arrive! We get right to working on fine motor skills with every kids favorite-Play Doh!
25 min. – Circle Time
We gather together at the circle rug to work on our cognitive, social, language, and gross motor skills with our sharing time, calendar, story time, and music & movement.
50 min. – Center Time
Often known as “Free Play” or “Play Time,” our many centers include Dramatic Play, Sensory, Art, Building, Literacy, Writing, and Science. We work on social, emotional, and language skills such as using our words, taking turns, being patient, negotiating conflicts, etc. In addition, I will bring over small groups or work 1-on-1 with building cognitive skills (colors, shapes, letters, sounds, numbers, counting, math/reading for older kids) based on each child’s level.
20 min. – Recess
Our playground areas include play structures, slides, balls, hula hoops, and more! You’ll think we’re just playing, but we’re actually working on our social, emotional, language, and gross motor skills as we run, jump, climb, and create games.
15 min. – Snack Time
We love working on our cognitive, social, language, and fine motor skills as we pour, measure, sort, count, chat, and enjoy eating together.
15 min. – Closing Circle
We head back to the circle rug to work on our cognitive skills with story time, social and language skills with discussing what we’ve learned, and emotional skills with getting ready to go home.

At Growing Minds Preschool, we follow a “whole child” philosophy where we partner with you to improve your child’s Social, Emotional, Cognitive, Language, and Physical skills. Your child will learn to socialize, make friends, develop social and emotional skills, and be more than ready for kindergarten!
Our curriculum is based on the NAEYC guidelines and features a balance of teacher-directed and child-initiated hands-on activities to accomplish these goals.
We also incorporate Abeka Christian Curriculum.
We aim to help children become independent, self-confident, inquisitive and enthusiastic learners by actively exploring their environment.
In fact, one of the best ways we can teach is to ask THEM questions. "What are you creating?" "How does it work?" "Tell me about what you drew." etc.
We keep you in the loop on what we're working on, and we also let you know exactly how your child is doing during our two parent teacher conferences each year.
Children learn SO MUCH MORE when they have the chance to explore and play without rules of what art "should" look like at the end.
We change out our centers and materials to reflect the new theme. Our classroom is always changing, and you never know what exciting things we'll add next week!

When you're at Growing Minds Preschool, you're family! We're conveniently located off of Dennis Road. You'll love our warm, bright local preschool, and your child will love our 1-on-1 attention with our small class sizes of just 10 students!
We are strictly a preschool (not a daycare) for children ages 3-5. We offer MORE THAN just preschool... Not only do we help your child socialize and get ready for kindergarten, we also offer free field trips & events for your entire family so we can experience the magic of preschool... TOGETHER.
2, 3 or 5 days a week- AM/PM
2 Days/Week: $225/mo.

Due to high demand, our classes fill up ridiculously fast. Please call as soon as you even think about enrolling so we can see if we have a spot for you.
If we do have a spot, we'll schedule a tour. We'll also reserve your child's spot so you don't lose it before we meet.
During the tour, we'll tell you all about us. At the end, we'll ask: "Would you like your child to come to Growing Minds Preschool?" If so, that's when we'll have you fill out the registration form and we'll collect the registration fee: $75 for preschool.
